Lost
A mixed feeling of closure and withdrawal lingers through a gray Monday morning as some of us attempt to recover from last night's epic finale of Lost. Looking back at this series of illustrations by Michael Myers already gives me some sense of nostalgia.

500 FPS
Transferred to HD nearly 40 years later, this 8 minute clip of the Apollo 11 launch on July 16, 1969 represents 30 seconds of actual time. We've seen it before, but seeing it again in such detail with a very thorough voice-over of what's actually happening with the gaseous propulsion — it's still amazing.

Tokyo Sky Drive
I found myself completely entranced by this video which uses a very simple technique, but looks out of this world. Tokyo is still the quintessential backdrop for science fiction. There's a daylight version too which is just as mesmerizing.

Helivideo
The revolutionary Canon 5D MKII continues to change how photographers and videographers work. This new outfit by Helivideo Productions may change how videographers approach aerial photography. Equipt with a remote operated Canon 7D, this radio controlled helicopter can attain low altitude aerial HD footage without a pilot or expensive rigging.
